GRAFTON LIBRARY TO GO AHEAD

A development application for Grafton’s new $8-million library has been approved by the Clarence Valley Council.

The new centre, which is scheduled for completion in 2014 will be built above part of the Pound Street car park.

The second floor library will feature increased floor space and allow for the display and expansion of new collections.

It will also house the headquarters of the Clarence Regional Library which services the north coast.

Funding for the project was committed by Page MP, Janelle Saffin, before the last federal election.
