GOVERNOR SUPPORTS CHARITY WORK

New South Wales Governor, Marie Bashir, was in Newcastle today supporting charity work.
Her Excellency and her husband, Sir Nicholas Shehadie, attended centenary celebrations at St Stephens in the Adamstown Parish, and also helped launch a learn to sail program for people with disabilities.
For the past four years, Special Needs Sailing has been borrowing boats, and goodwill, to offer people the chance to get to know the ropes.
The group now hopes to buy its own boat and base it in Newcastle.
