Design work for the replacement of Laurieton’s ailing Stingray Creek bridge has officially started, more than a decade after the project was first mooted.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has appointed specialist bridge design consultants, Opus International, to deliver detailed designs for the bridge which is expected to cost between $12 and 14-million.
Site investigations will be carried out between now and November as part of the design process, with construction expected to start in the new year.
