WHISPERING DEATH STIRS MEMORIES

A plane once known as the “Whispering Death” due to its speed and firepower, has been honoured at Williamtown’s Fighter World.
The nose and cockpit section of one of the Beaufighter aircraft used by the RAAF’s 30 Squadron has been restored, and put on exhibition.
The display holds special significance for the crew who flew the planes against the Japanese in the Pacific War.
