NIMBIN WILL TAKE FIGHT TO LEGALISE MEDICINAL CANNABIS TO STATE PARLIAMENT

Nimbin’s medicinal cannabis campaigners will take the fight to legalise marijuana to the New South Wales Parliament in August.

Protestors will be calling on the State’s Secretary of Health to pay attention to an issue they say has been brushed aside for too long.

  1. Marijuana is just another drug — one with psychotropic effects, for sure, but one that might be able to help sick people. Oversight of research-grade marijuana should be shared with an agency whose primary mission is medical research. Marijuana should be listed as a Schedule II drug to facilitate further research. The findings should be submitted to the Therapeutic Goods Administration, just as clinical trials are for any other drug. Then the nation can base its marijuana policy on information, not on entrenched fears or a patchwork of possibly well-intentioned but under-informed state medical marijuana laws.

  2. hello i have been using perscription medicine for over ten years and have had to put up with some extremly unpleasant side effects. tryed to change to a newer safer perscription medicine which had worse side effects so i just stopped taking my perscribed medicine and swapped it for THC which works better than the legal drugs and has almost no side effects. so why is it not allowed . its my body so it should be my choice what i put in it .

  3. I am currently using medicinal cannabis with my doctors consent and ongoing observation. My condition has improved to the point I am now able to leave my house without the pain and other debilitating issues I would usually endure. Thank you Tony Bower for giving my life back.
