Today they were recognised for their efforts.
I would like to thank the Murwilumbah National Services Association, and the Murwilumbah Sub Branch for giving our wives a very plesant day.
Our wives, girlfreinds & husbands, stood proud when they received their Medal for the job they done when their parteners were away serving their country.
My wife was my girlfreind when I was in the CMF/Army Reserve, 1959-1983, she done a great job looking after my ill father, she was only 13 at the time.
She then had to look after our house and our son a number of times, some times I was away 6 months in a year.
This Medal that was awarded are well over due,now our partners have been finally recognized for the fine job they done for our country.
I would also like to thank NBN New for covering this day .
So I will again thank, Every one who worked so very hard on this special day
