LOCALS GOING SOBER FOR OUR HOUSE

The Northern Rivers community is being encouraged to go sober to help raise money for Our House.

Local identities took their last swig of alcohol for 31 days today, after signing up to the Go Dry in July campaign.

The initiative will help raise much-needed funds to complete the motel-style accommodation block for cancer patients and their families.

“Last year we raised over $70,000, so that would be great if we could raise those funds and it would go towards purchasing furniture for our house once its built”.

So far more than 250 people have accepted the challenge.

“I do like a glass of wine after a tough council meeting but I reckon for a month I can do it”.

To sign up, simply visit the DryJuly website.
