Jetstar, QantasLink and Virgin Australia will suspend all flights in and out of Newcastle Airport
from 3pm today until further notice, as the ash cloud returns to Australian skies.
After circling the globe, the edge of the Chilean volcanic ash cloud from Puyehue-Cordon
Caulle has returned to the south-eastern Australia.
Brindabella Airlines and Aeropelican flights in and out of Newcastle are not currently affected.
Newcastle Airport urges passengers to monitor their airline’s website or contact them directly
for advice regarding their flights.
