FLOOD WATCH ISSUED NORTH OF THE MANNING RIVER
It’s shaping up to be a wet and wild long-weekend on the New South Wales north coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall from the Queensland border to the Upper Macintyre Valley and has issued a Flood Watch for areas between the Tweed and Manning Rivers.
Long-weekend travellers are being advised the New England and Pacific Highways may be affected and are urged to check weather forecasts.
While beach-goers and rock fisherman are being told to play it safe, with large southerly swells predicted.
