  1. Wish we could have Andrew Wilkie as our Prime Minister at least he cares about people ,animals and our planet.. We really need to stop this babaric live trade of our farm animals it’s a nightmare to know that this has been going on for decades.

  2. Farmers and graziers have heard, or could have heard, the warnings from Stop Live Export groups, politicians and some vets for years so this should come as no surprise to them. If they truly cared for their stock they too could have investigated the conditions but the MLA advised them that all was fine over and over again. Highly paid veterinarians too said that all was well. Should these people be de registered? Sacked? No flash superannuation payouts?
As for Lynn White, she would qualify for Order of Australia or even Australian of the Year, if not Decade, for having the guts to allow us to see it as it really is in Indonesia and in the Middle East. Other sites too may need investigation.

  3. I was utterly rattled and deeply disturbed by the images I saw on Four Corners and still am. The arguments against banning live animal export appear based on greed and cultural difference allowances. These arguments imply that sub-standard treatment and slaughter of Australian produced animals is acceptable by those who don’t know better or are ‘getting better’. It is the livestock who are the ones suffering and being tortured night after night whilst people make excuses for these practices. I feel Australia should be banning live exportation of animals and make a bold statement to the rest of the world that inhumane treatment of livestock is not acceptable practice and will not be tolerated! If this industry is so reliant on sales to places where treatment of animals is so offensive, and has been allowing even worse treatment over the last 15 years to get them to this horrifically substandard level, then serious consideration needs to be given to the acceptability of this industry in the developed world.

  4. Since the airing of four corners the other night about the live export trade why havn’t I seen any updates on the evening news (Tamworth area) as to whats happening about it ,Iv’e always been against the live export trade and this only goes to reinforce my reasonsas to why, there needs to be the proper facilities built in the top end, just think of the investment and the jobs it would be creating, if they can get stock to port in the wet season, they can get them to a meatworks, there’s no excuse for this to be happening, and the ones involved that knew and been over there need to be prosocuted as well, theu should hang there head in shame

  5. MLA + LiveCorp + Metal Boxes to Improve the Welfare of Australian Cattle! = Absolute Joke

These are the people who should be punished, not hardworking Cattle Farmers, banning the export of AU Cattle to these abattoirs is great thing, now who’s fault is it that this has had to happen? I think it might be those companies who had the brains to put their names on their idiotic creation referred to as the Metal restraining box for the cattle.

To Lyn White & Team, Australia needs people like you and we are thankful for it.

  6. Could someone please confirm or deny if Lyn White was paid quite a sum of money for her expose on the Indonesian Live Export exports. I wish to be armed with the facts if this rumour raises it’s head again.
