Police say a fire that destroyed a house in Toomina yesterday isn’t being treated as suspicious.
Flames took hold of the two-storey property on Dews Avenue just before 2pm, with the house well alight and the roof partly collapsed by the time fire crews arrived.
It took firefighters from Coffs Harbour and Sawtell half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
Investigators are still trying to establish the cause of the fire, which is believed to have started in a first floor bedroom.
Fortunately no one was home at the time.
