It promised so much and the Darby Street Coffee and Chocolate Festival didn’t disappoint.
Now in its 22nd year, the event, which was started to show what Newcastle’s cultural corner had to offer, seems to be working, with an estimated 20,000 people turning out.
There was a blend of some of the finest beans and cocoa, but there were also a few surprises.
A group of dancers, or a flash mob as its known on the internet, made a special appearance.
