PERMITS SNAPPED UP BY DIVERS KEEN TO EXPLORE EX-HMAS ADELAIDE WRECK

Central Coast charter companies have been overwhelmed with interest from those keen to explore the wreck of the ex-HMAS Adelaide, after mooring and dive permits went on sale this morning.

Divers with their own boat and gear can expect to pay a $60 mooring fee, and just $18 per head to explore the site.

Both permits can be purchased from Central Coast Tourism, Pro-dive and Terrigal Dive Centre.

Those looking to dive with commercial operators can expect to pay around $140.

After being delayed due to choppy seas, the first dive is scheduled bright and early on Saturday morning.
