A police officer has been charged after an motor vehicle accident claimed the life of woman at Armidale.
48-year-old Gillian Harman was killed in February when a police van collided with her sedan on the corner of Faulker and Newton streets.
A 22-year-old constable was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
At the time the police were responding to reports of a man wielding an axe.
The constable will face court in June.
