A far north coast cheese business has won a gold medal at the Sydney Royal cheese show.
The Bangalow Cheese Company took out the trophy for its Tintenbar triple cream, and silver for its wash rind, feta and butter.
“That’s our big focus, getting supreme quality cheese so I think it’s just a recognition of us achieving that.”
Cheesemaker Justin Telfer also received a silver award which recognises his dedication to the craft.
“We’ve only been going for three years so we’ve been really successful in cracking some really big awards in that short amount of time.”
