Skylarkers used a tractor to cause a path a destruction in Alstonville overnight.
Sometime before midnight they stole the tractor then rammed it into a power pole on the main street.
The pole’s still standing, but it could have been worse, attached to it is a $100,000 transformer, which if it had come down, would have left the town without power.
The thieves then drove the tractor to a nearby sports field, taking out fences and soccer posts and leaving tyre marks in the grass.
