TENNIS: NICK LINDAHL BARRED FROM OZ OPEN PLAYOFFS

Lake Macquarie tennis player Nick Lindahl has been barred from the Australian Open wildcard playoffs by the sport’s governing body.
Tennis Australia says the action has been taken following reports of unacceptable behaviour at tournaments this year.
Last year, Lindahl beat Bernard Tomic in the final of the wildcard playoffs, then suffered an injury in the first round of the open.
This time around, he’ll have to enter the open qualifying event, and compete against the best young players from across the world.
The 22-year-old today retired hurt in the first round of the Bendigo International.
