The Tamworth Ice Action Group is reaching out to the Federal Government, hoping to receive funding for a proposed crisis accommodation centre.
The Coalition has today announced $19.2-million to create 220 local ice action teams across the country.
The state member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson, has already contacted Deputy National’s Leader Fiona Nash to lobby for the region.
Tamworth’s taskforce has been in action since February this year.
