Despite a nasty virus spreading through its camp, Repton Public School’s soccer team has taken out a state-wide competition.
The Repton Redbacks beat Annangrove three goals to one to be crowned the 2010 small schools knockout champions.
Coach Nick Radford said a number of players were struck down with a mystery bug in Sydney, but they still came up with the goods.
It’s the first time in eight years the school of just 72 students has won the annual event.
And with a few of the younger grades represented in the team, the school will have a good shot at defending its title next year.
