LOST BUSHWALKER THANKS RESCUERS

A man who sparked a full scale land and air search in bushland on the Central Coast earlier this week, has today thanked his rescuers.

But police say Michael Strettles is lucky to be alive, following a prank which turned horribly wrong.

I am so glad Micheal is safe he so would suffered a very cold night and it is very lucky that we do have rescue resources as they were wonderful and done a very good job and never gave up till he was found we are all grateful for that he has been a very close friend for many years and we are so glad he is safe and unharmed. I think Micheal has learnt when u gonna play a prank its best not to do it in a strange place or that far from home.
