Tennis ace, Brooke Whitten, has taken out the women’s open singles at the Tamworth Open.
The 18-year-old local blitzed the finals match, winning against Sydney’s Machealla Shand.
Tamworth’s other hopeful, Alex Fielding, wasn’t as lucky – going down in the men’s final.
