A Coffs Harbour motorist had a lucky escape from serious injury this afternoon when his car left the road
and crashed into a power pole in Orlando Street shortly before four o’clock.
The man was trapped in his vehicle for about 15 minutes.
Paramedics administered first aid, placing him in a neck brace before eventually freeing him.
Witnesses to the accident say it appeared as if another vehicle may have pulled out of a driveway into his path, forcing him to take evasive action.
Despite the extensive damage to his car, the victim suffered only minor injuries.
