NORTH COAST SURF REPORT 20-11-09

Our pictures today were taken at the northern end of the Moonee Beach Nature Reserve showing a pod of dolphins near a small group of surfers.

The waves were small and clean but infrequent, which led to one surfer paddling in amoungst the dolphin pod to experience the creatures up close and personal. He even dived off his board under the water to eyeball the mammal, brave or silly? I’m not sure?

Although the wind was a strong northerly, surface conditions were smooth thanks to the protection of the long and tall “Look at me now” headland. Surfwise, things will be pretty much the same over the weekend.

cheers, noel.
