An Illawarra man who served in the infantry during the Vietnam War is sharing his experiences with people on the mid-north coast this week.
Don Tate has written a confronting memoir about his time in Vietnam as an 18-year-old soldier and his struggles to deal with life in the aftermath of the war.
Mr Tate also presented a colour film, edited from footage he has donated to the Australian War Memorial.
He visited Port Macquarie, Grafton and Casino libraries as part of a regional tour that will also take in parts of the North West and Hunter.
