Work on the $1.2-million expansion of Lake Cathie’s Medical Centre will begin within weeks.
The development application has been approved and local company Lianda Constructions will undertake the work.
A extra five consultation rooms will be built as well as a radiology department, dental surgery and larger physiotherapy unit.
The centre, which opened in December last year, already has four GPs and now wants to provide more allied health services.
