The Wingham Akoostik Music Festival got off to a fine start, with a drumming circle performed by students from Taree West Public School.
They were the first of many local artists who will perform during the two-day festival, to a crowd which appeared to be getting into the swing of things.
The big drawcard for day one was Shane Howard from Oz rock favourites Goanna, while Afro Moses from Ghana will bring an international flavour to the event on day two.
