CENTRAL COAST BEARS BID GETS BOOST

The Central Coast Bears’ bid to become the 17th-team in the 2013 NRL comp has received a boost, with the fledgling club signing a multi-million sponsorship with finance company, Mortgage House.

The five year-deal, worth $3-million, was signed as the Bears finalise plans to open a new head office at Erina.

David Fairleigh has already been appointed as Head Coach of the team, while Wests Tigers and former Umina Bunnies forward Chris Heighington has been earmarked as the club’s captain.

But in the absence of a local league team, many Central Coast fans are backing the Eels for a long awaited grand final win this weekend.
