Although the Group-3 season is over, it’s been a different story off the field.
Comments made by group secretary Barrie Smith at the presentation night that the Hallidays Point club should leave the competition, have continued to make headlines.
But now it appears the issue can be put to bed, with group president Wayne Bridge offering the Makos and official apology.
Mr Bridge said the comments were a personal opinion and not that of the group.
