The fate of the Australian Defence Force’s basic flying school in Tamworth is uncertain, with the defence force set to overhaul its training program and put it out to open tender for 2012.
The current contract ends in December 2010, with British Aerospace Systems negotiating an extension to its contract in Tamworth for 2011.
But after that the school could go anywhere in Australia.
