MISSING PERSON WEEK

National Missing Person Week began today with a warning the number of people suffering from dementia is expected to increase by 327 percent over the next 40 years.

Police say dementia and memory loss contributes to ten percent of all missing person cases.

Manilla resident Paul Ison is one of 35,000 people who are expected to be reported missing this year.

Mr Ison is described as being of medium build with grey hair and a full beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey beanie and white jacket with blue and green stripes.
