  1. ExSEPPtional!!
Good work, Blackalls Against The MIne ( BAM) ,
Southlakes Against the Mine ( SCAM), No Open Cut for Awaba (NOCMFAR), United Residents Group for the Environment ( URGE) & the Community Environment Network (CEN). Also a big thankyou to our eternal KING of POP John Paul Young. With our powers combined…. it is amazing what we can achieve!!
Now we need the SEPP sorted… so that such unviable and technically questionable attempts to desroy Lake Macquarie are resolved & extinguished once and for all.

  2. Congrats to all the Groups and Residents who put pressure on Centennial Coal. It was great news for our area!

  3. Its just wonderful to hear that the Olstan proposal has been withdrawn – well done and a big thank you to the 1,000s of residents young and old, near and far who signed petitions, sent postcards, attended meetings, painted signs, wrote letters and more in support of Lake Macquarie residents. It would be even better to hear that in the future such a proposal will not be even thought of or considered because the SEPP (which bans Open Cut Mining in Lake Macquarie) makes it absolutely clear that surface or trench or strip auger mining is a form of open cut and therefore illegal in this area!!!
