WINTER WONDERLAND IN THE BARRINGTONS

You didn’t have to be in Thredbo or Perisher to see snow today, The Barrington Tops received its first decent falls for the winter.
If you’re planning on heading up, allow three hours from Newcastle, via Gloucester. Outside Gloucester expect a winding mountain road into the Barrington Tops National Park. The dirt road turns to mud and slush with melting snow and sleet and can become icey as temperatures drop toward evening. Plan to be off the mountain before dark.

On the way up it’s also advisable to stop in at the Gloucester Visitors Centre, just off the main street, or the National Parks Office in town to check on conditions before heading up to the snow. Fuel-up and pack some extra warm, dry clothes for the trip home. Expect to get your car muddy and shoes wet.

Cold temperatures tonight should bring more snow but it’s expected to melt as the weather fines-up over the weekend.

  1. Could you please let me know where i can download a clip of Big Dog saying good night just in case we miss it live (or on Sundays when it doesn’t seem to be on).

My 19 mth old daughter doesn’t like to go to bed if she hasn’t seen “the dog”, so PLEASE help!!!!

  2. We have a son with Autism. He has not excepted the updated version of Big Dog. Our only recorded version of the old version was stored on our Digital Recorder. This recorder has now died along with this essential part of our sons bedtime routine. Could you please provide or give direction to how we can secure a copy of the old Big Dog – any of the old versions would suffice.
