CRICKET CHARITY PUTS DOWN STUMPS IN NORTH NSW

The father of former Australian wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist has set up a northern New South Wales branch of the cricketing charity, The Lord’s Taverners.

Stan Gilchrist says the group’s charter is to give the young and disadvantaged the opportunity to play sport, especially cricket.

Mitchell Hughes started as a tape editor in Newcastle in 1999. He became a reporter in 2004, working in Lismore and on the Gold Coast.
