Newcastle Council’s Eco-home has been demolished, and it’s expected the land where it once stood will be absorbed by the Harker Oval complex.
Last year, council’s asset board agreed to bulldoze the New Lambton Eco-home, which was used to demonstrate sustainable living.
A report on the future of the site will be considered early next month, and options include retaining the land for open space, or for another community use.
