Marcia Staples has claimed the Tony Donovan Reconciliation award in the ninth annual aboriginal artists competition.
Seven young offenders from the Frank Baxter and Kariong juvenile centres have also won prizes, and the works are now on display at the Gosford Regional Art Gallery.
