Hundreds of kettles were on the boil across the new england and north west today, as part of the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning tea.
Work colleagues, school students and fundraising groups took time this morning to have a cuppa, to help raise $200,000 for vital services.
North West Cancer Council Community Relations Coodinator, Kristy Reading, said the money raised by Australia’s Biggest Morning tea goes towards cancer research, the programs the Cancer Council runs for caner patients and their families and those support and education programs to help people live a cancer smart lifestyle
Three shops in Tamworth’s City Plaza got in on the action, donating one dollar from every cuppa sold towards the cause.
