COMPETITION HEATS UP IN GROUP 4

Anyone who thoughT this year’s Group 4 rugby league season would be a two-team competition, may have to think again.

The Panthers and Bulldogs couldn’t be separated in their round two game, despite 10 minutes of golden goal over time.

Moree claimed victory over Narrabri – George Sharpley top scoring for the Boars with four tries.

There was no love lost between the North Tamworth Bears and Unicorns.

Norths lead 20-nil at half time, before poor defence put the Unicorns in the game.

Tamworth regrouped to redeem some club pride, the side step of captain Luke Taylor sealing the match for the Bears.

The skipper less than flattering of his teams’ performance, claiming the Bears will have to lift their game to make it five straight premiership titles.
