Parliamentarians from the Nationals have inspected Taree Airport which, the council claims, is in danger of closing if funding isn’t provided for urgent repairs to the runway.
The party’s state leader, Andrew Stoner, says the airport must be supported because it encourages economic development and job growth in the region.
