NO SELL OFF AT FARRER

The state government has ruled out selling off land at Tamworth’s Farrer Agricultural High School.

There have been concerns the state might look to offload the land, following a proposal to sell 90 per cent of the land surrounding Hurlstone Agricultural High School in Sydney.

A spokesperson for Education Minister Verity Firth has confirmed there are no such plans regarding the Tamworth school’s surrounds, which are used for sheep, beef, cattle and grain production.
