Tamworth’s Brian McCosker will return home from the Easter Powerboat Classic nursing a sore hip pocket.
For the second year running, there was heartbreak for the former Australian champion, after the engine of his boat ‘Liberty’ caught fire during the practice round.
McCoskar managed to repair the boat in time for his heat, only to have the engine shut down.
The Taree event was taken out by Singleton driver Troy Marland.
