The Uralla Tigers’ decision not to field a first grade side in this year’s Group 19 rugby league competition has thrown the season draw into chaos.
The 2009 competition kicks of on Saturday, however the first grade season has been shortened following decisions by Uralla, Bingara and Warialda not to field first grade teams.
Glen Innes, Guyra, Tingha, Inverell and Armidale will field senior sides, but it’s unlikely players will see more than a dozen games.
The Tigers say they’re hopefully of re-entering first grade in 2010.
