NARRABRI AIR SERVICE READY TO FLY

Aeropelican finally has approval to take over the Narrabri-to-Sydney route from Monday.

The Newcastle-based airline was granted CASA approval late yesterday, with the Ministry of
Transport issuing the licence.

The airline will operate two return flights six days a week, with one return flight on Saturdays.

Narrabri Shire Council’s, Paul Keech says “it’s very similar to what Qantaslink provides now. They are getting into Sydney a bit earlier than what Qantaslink was so that’s an advantage for some of our residents in that they won’t have to stay overnight.”

Qantaslink, which will stop its Narrabri service from Sunday, has been carrying 16,000 passengers a year on the route.
