Tamworth’s two rugby league teams have once again shown their dominance, posting big wins in the opening round of the Group 4 preseason tournament.
Reigning Group 4 premiers, the North Tamworth bears made easy work of Wee Waa,
while the West Lions posted a convincing 76 to 4 point win over Coonabarabran.
Will Jerrard led the Lions’ effort, scoring five tries and kicking 10 conversions.
Andrew Loveday, Scott Clout and new signing Mick Watton each ran in two tries for the club.
