Rugby union powerhouse, Queensland University, proved too strong for the Central North rep team during its final trial match in Moree last night.
The visiting side ran in six tries to two, to beat the Kookaburras by 24.
Queensland Uni’s under-20s side also showed flair during its 34-7 win over the colts.
Selectors are expected to announce their final teams for the Caldwell Cup this week.
The Central North zone will host Central West in round one of the competition at Narrabri in a fortnight.
