SKIPPER SNARES MORE THAN PRAWNS

The skipper of a north coast trawler snared more than prawns off the Clarence coast earlier this week.

Shane Hucksley’s nets became tangled in the mast and sails of a sunken multi-hulled vessel, which has yet to be identified.

The catch was more than he bargained for, and put an end to the trawler’s prawning operation.

The identifying sail registration number has been passed to Water Police, who are now seeking to solve the mystery of what happened to the craft.

The number of barnacles on the mast suggest it may have been in the water for at least a year.

  1. I’m a public servant working in the public sector and last year the PSA got a payrise for the public sector workers in NSW that amounted to 10% over a three year period and for this pay rise we even had to forgo some of our entitlements.
Why should “Nathan Rees” the NSW premier and his staff get a payrise of 10% over a one year period where’s the equity it and i’m of the belief that we as constituants were led from the senior workers who had to set the example for all ordinary working people. Where’s the premier’s constraint now and who’s paying for it, we are and i for one dont like it.
