The mystery surrounding the identity of a man who was pulled unconscious from the surf at Bar Beach has been solved.
Surf lifesavers revived him yesterday morning, after suffering what they believe was a heart attack, while swimming.
Police identified the man as 51-year-old David Wilson from Bar Beach.
He remains in a coma at the John Hunter hospital.
