FARMERS UNITE FOR BUSHFIRE RECOVERY EFFORT

Armidale Dumaresq Council has donated fodder to Victorian farmers affected by the bushfires.

60 bales of sorghum worth $5,000 have been harvested from the council’s Grafton Road farm and are on their way south.

There are also plans to launch a community fundraising campaign to assist welfare agencies with the recovery effort.

Meanwhile leading agricultural company, GrainCorp, has set up an account that will allow farmers to donate grain to their Victorian counterparts.
