WORLD RECORD CRICKET ATTEMPT

While most of us will be enjoying a relaxing long weekend, spare a thought for the cricketers at Raymond Terrace attempting to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for continuous play.

The two sides began at 9.00 Saturday night and if the weather and bodies hold out, they’re aiming for 65 hours – that’ll take them to Tuesday evening and around 11 one-day matches back to back.

Playing under lights and grabbing sleep when they can, it’ll be a hugh effort.

Click on to see how they’re doing with with club President Guy Marks helping to organise the event.
