  1. I am writing in regards to the story in Mark Fairbrother. I was a patient of his for many years & am appauled to hear about what he has been doing. You always think that you can trust the ‘family doctor’. This is the person that you not only trust with your own health, confidential issues etc but you also trust them with your children. It makes me sick to the stomach that I trusted this ‘doctor’ with the most precious things in the world to me, my children.

  2. I have also been a patient of Dr Fairbrother’s. He has always been very professional and has never ever acted improperly around me or my family. I believe that the news and articles such as this always put the most negative spin that they can just to try and get readers in, like Ms Howard. How often do you read stuff that’s in the news and find out that its not entirely true….. If you read into it it looks as though this woman is trying to take him for money so perhaps her version of events is skewed significantly so her claim for money is stronger…. I would not write the man off as none of us know the full story

  3. I have been a patient for mark since i was a kid and when the had the practice at Niagara Park . I Dont Believe this is the full story for a second and bet it is not as bad as the media has made it out to be ..

Mark has been a great doc for many years and i believe that we do not know the full story .. Mark has helped me through alot of things over the years and my family and i would still trust him when or if he came back .

Dont allways believe what you see on the news .

  4. I too have been a patient of Mark Fairbrother and I feel the issue has not been properly addressed. Whether he is a good GP or bad GP is not the issue. The issue is has he acted inappropriately and I think the answer is YES. The Medical
Board would hold an unbias opinion and do their own investigation. This would be thorough & it has been proven beyond doubt that he did not keep proper medical files on this patient. Not to mention the many visits. It is very easy for the medical board to see if he says he has given medication and then it has not been filled repeatedly. which questions his level of patient care. There is no evidence however of drug use as this is not proven. There has been many issues with him not this alone. However I do feel for the man he was a acting managing dr in the centre and has really taken a fall. Hopefully he has friends & family who will make sure he is mentally well for the next two years. It does remind us all that we reap what we sow and we are accountable for our own actions.

  5. i have also been a patient of Marks for the past five years and he is one of the best doctors that anyone could ever have. He was always professional, compassionate and always friendly. I could not reccommend him higher despite what has happened in his personal life. We all make mistakes in our life and marks has unfotunatly been played out in the media where alot of the information can not be believed…
I will definatly be going back to him once he returns to practice

  6. this man stepped out side the square no matter how good a dr he is an that is questionable? sex an cocaine was obviously more important than the oath he took to become a doctor… i hope he has a long time to think about he’s actions.. we all make mistakes as human beings but this one is dispicable an i dont see any excuses for it …..
