THE PENNY DROPS ON PAY PHONES

Telstra is planning to remove 12 public pay phones across the Tamworth shire.

Council’s General Manager, Glen Inglis, is calling on the public to speak up with any concerns before they are taken away in two months time.

He says if there is a demand for the phones, the decision may be reviewed.

The ones earmarked for removal are located in Tamworth, Kootingal, Barraba, Manilla, Halls Creek and Piallamore.

They each have a bright orange sticker attached to them.
